Twist Unraveling Dilemma
Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel, its Emma and I’m back again with another video. Today I am going to unravel my twists. It’s been a good 18 days. I was planning on leaving them for like an entire 30 days, but my roots are starting to mat up, even though I’m oiling my scalp every day.
Curl Pattern Revelation
My roots are starting to mat up, plus at the back of my head here, the hair at the back of my head is different. It has a looser curl pattern. So if this is 4C, then I’m thinking my hair at the back is 3C because it’s really loose and curly. You know, if I were to do a wash and go, this would come out perfectly at the back and not in the front, yeah.
Prepping for Twist Unraveling
Currently, I prepped my hair with coconut oil so that twisting wouldn’t be a problem, even though I didn’t prep my hair, it still wouldn’t be a problem at all. The things I was doing to my mini twists made it very easy for me to unravel and untangle my hair. My hair frizzes a lot, and as it frizzes, the twists become tangled easily.
Washing Woes
To make things even better, or maybe a little worse, if I have mini twists in and happen to wash my hair, it gets tangled even worse. So the journey of maintaining my 4C natural hair continues with its twists and turns, literally and figuratively.
Emma’s 18-Day Journey
Today is Sunday. 18 days later, I did my Twist on the 10th of April on a Wednesday and then so today. That means that makes it the 18th no the 28th of April. This is 18 days of work.
Assessment of Results
I its actually okay on camera, because its its shining because of uh the coconut oil, but I dont, want to light it kind of it still kind of looks good thing is the length is no longer the same. You know and actually kind of like want the length back. My hair still looks fine, it just needs a little bit of retwisting.
Deciding on Next Steps
I was actually thinking of retwisting instead of doing them again, but no no Im cool Im cool its the last day of my burn. He cringes when he hears the click. I do sometimes I tease hi.
Reflecting on Past Experiences
I ever heard people talking about you and Oscar their story, didnt Che, which one is true. I feel at that point like the UN. Less stupid did something like this ever happen to you, but you can about it all you things started getting really heated.
Looking Towards the Future
The shirts were flying, pants were dropping, I just feel like P down and there just blood all wrest want something new. What you have in mind – I was here the following, contains strong language and is not suitable for viewers under the age of 18. Viewer description is advised. Okay, so I am done. I was actually Im actually thinking of adding more coconut oil to PR, but I am so tired.
Deciding Whether to Blow Dry or Not
It is 13:00 and I need to wake up and brush my hair. So right now I am contemplating whether to blow dry or not. If I choose to blow dry, I will have to detangle my hair. After 18 days with my hair in twists, I finally took them down. As I unravel my twists and finger detangle, I notice the amount of shedding I accumulated.
Assessing the Shedding
This is the total shedding I accumulated while unraveling my twists and finger detangling. After detangling, I inspect the shedding once again. Surprisingly, it’s not as bad as I expected. I start working on fixing the shedding problem by trimming my ends.
Struggling with Hair Maintenance
In the background, music plays softly. My heart beats in tune with the melody. Moments of distress flood my mind as I recall not receiving an invitation to a recent event. The music intensifies, stirring up emotions within me.
Seeking Comfort in Familiar Tasks
Feeling overwhelmed, I reach for my blow dryer. The sound of the machine provides a sense of comfort and familiarity. As I begin to blow dry my hair, I find solace in the routine of caring for my 4C natural hair. Despite the challenges, I persevere, knowing that each step contributes to my hair journey.
